Door het structureel verbeteren van knelpunten in de website zal de conversieratio op de marketingactiviteiten en orders stijgen. Het proces van conversie-optimalisatie is een strategie die bestaat uit vier fasen. Deze vier fasen blijven elkaar in een vicieuze cirkel opvolgen. In dit blogartikel worden deze vier fasen uitgelegd, zodat je daarna precies weet waar je moet beginnen met optimaliseren.** ## Fase 1: Onderzoek en analyse Een goed optimalisatieproces begint met onderzoek en analyse. Alles wat je immers doet of implementeert dient gebaseerd te zijn op onderzoeksdata. Binnen onderzoek wordt er onderscheid gemaakt in kwalitatief en kwantitatief onderzoek: - Kwalitatief onderzoek bestaat uit data over het waarom. Dit zijn dus achterliggende gedachten en diepgaande antwoorden. Een voorbeeld van kwalitatief onderzoek is een interview, waarbij je door kunt blijven vragen aan een klant over het waarom hij of zij iets vindt; - Kwantitatief onderzoek bestaat uit data die je verzamelt door middel van een meting of met behulp van een instrument. Hiermee ontdek je alleen wat er gebeurt, maar zie je niet waarom dit gebeurt. Voorbeelden van kwantitatief onderzoek zijn observaties en de data die uit Google Analytics rolt. Data vormt de basis van conversie-optimalisatie. Zonder goed onderzoek vlieg je blind. Een data-driven benadering garandeert de beste resultaten, omdat het direct meetbaar is. Zorg dat de data klopt, zodat je de plannen daarop kunt baseren en altijd kunt verantwoorden. Ook zijn er een aantal [tools die helpen bij conversie-optimalsiatie](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/5-interessante-conversie-optimalisatietools). ## Fase 2: Actieplan In fase twee ga je de verzamelde data bekijken en de bevindingen bundelen. Deze data dient enerzijds als input voor het opstellen of bijstellen van buyer persona’s en anderzijds vormt deze data de leidraad voor het opstellen van een actieplan. Bij elke beslissing die gemaakt wordt, moet de buyer persona in gedachten meegenomen worden. Zo wordt er getoetst of de beslissing past bij de klant. In het actieplan wordt vastgelegd welke knelpunten geëlimineerd worden en welke optimalisaties er worden doorgevoerd. Ook de prioriteit van de optimalisaties wordt bepaald, aangezien sommige zaken meer onderzoek vereisen of afhankelijk zijn van een eerdere aanpassing. Verder onderzoek kan onder andere plaatsvinden door middel van A/B testen. Dit komt in fase drie aan bod. ## Fase 3: Testing Nadat een probleem of knelpunt in kaart is gebracht, kan dat in deze fase verder onderzocht worden. A/B test tools worden hier vaak voor ingezet. Met een A/B test kun je één element in een pagina of een compleet andere pagina testen. Bekijk de resultaten en bepaal of één van de twee opties beter scoort dan de andere. Er is altijd ruimte voor conversie-optimalisatie. Blijf dus testen! ## Fase 4: Optimaliseren en evalueren Zodra je conclusies kunt trekken uit het testen, kun je aan de slag met de implementatie van optimalisaties aan je [B2B website](https://www.bureauvet.nl/b2b-website-laten-maken). Voer deze optimalisaties direct door of ga om de tafel zitten met experts om te bekijken hoe je de nieuwe bevindingen om kunt zetten in specifieke optimalisaties. Vergeet niet te meten wat er gebeurt nadat je bepaalde optimalisaties hebt doorgevoerd. Nadat de implementatie is voltooid begint het conversie-optimalisatie proces weer opnieuw.
