**Targeting en hypertargeting worden vaak genoemd: het specifiek benaderen van je doelgroep. In deze blog gaan we in op de hypertargeting trend: de focus op doelgroepen op basis van individuele klantprofielen.**

 

## Wat is hypertargeting?

Hypertargeting is het communiceren met een zeer specifieke doelgroep rondom een geheel op deze doelgroep afgestemde boodschap, via diverse kanalen.

Deze boodschap kan dus ook content zijn en de kanalen zijn over het algemeen een combinatie van verschillende digitale platformen. Om dat te kunnen doen is het van belang om de doelgroep goed te begrijpen, wat kan doormiddel van het uitwerken van de customer journey en het klantprofiel.

Op basis van dit inzicht is de specifieke interactie gerealiseerd. Het spreekt voor zich dat dit voorwaarden stelt aan de kwaliteit van zowel het marketingdomein (marketing automation en kennis van social kanalen) als de specifieke CRM tool in het kader van het opbouwen van het specifieke klantprofiel.

 

## Hoe zet je specifieke targeting in?

Er zijn verschillende manieren om hypertargeting in te zetten. Dit kan op de social media kanalen:

- LinkedIn targeting
- Facebook advertenties
- Instagram adverteren

Maar je kunt ook denken aan de inzet van liquid content op je website en in [e-mail campagnes](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/e-mail-campagne).

 

## Aansluiten bij de buyer persona

De customer experience wordt onder andere versterkt door het delen van gerichte content, passend bij de behoefte van de doelgroep. Dan hebben we het niet over de doelgroep als gehele groep, maar bij de verschillende individuen met hun individuele voorkeuren binnen de doelgroep: de [buyer persona’s](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/kenniscentrum/buyer-persona).

Denk bijvoorbeeld aan de benadering van een georganiseerde CEO die resultaten wil zien, ten opzichte van een innoverende marketeer die de nieuwste trends bijhoudt.

Deze twee personen converteren op andere inhoud en een ander taalgebruik. Die voorkeuren wilt u natuurlijk liever niet door elkaar halen in de klantbenadering.

De vraag die hier boven komt is op welke manier de behoeftes van de doelgroep worden vastgesteld. Het antwoord is: op basis van datadriven marketing.

De term big data kennen we inmiddels wel. Deze term heeft zich doorgezet naar het marketingdomein in de vorm van hypertargeting.

Begin met hypertargeting op een specifieke doelgroep waarvan je de details van het profiel en de customer journey in kaart hebt.

Door een goede keuze van digitale kanalen en een goed voorbereide keuze qua opvolging, wordt het resultaat van de doelgroep benadering niet alleen meetbaar, maar geeft met grote waarschijnlijkheid ook nog eens een beter resultaat, zonder dat er meteen grote investeringen moeten worden gedaan.
