Maar wist je dat er tegenwoordig elke dag 4,6 miljard content items worden gemaakt? Of het nu tekst, video of een afbeelding is, er is een overvloed aan en het wordt steeds moeilijker om zichtbaar te zijn. Dit betekent ook dat de oorspronkelijke Inbound-filosofie achterhaald is geworden. Maar wat is het alternatief? En hoe moet je je inbound marketing playbook evolueren om vandaag succesvol te zijn?** ## Gecombineerde inzichten van INBOUND24 Tijdens HubSpot INBOUND24 woonde ik een aantal keynotes bij, zoals "Content is not king anymore" door SEO expert Neil Patel, die deze verandering in de wereld van content bespraken. De inzichten die ik opdeed tijdens deze sessies toonden allemaal aan dat de wereld van content verandert, maar dat er manieren zijn om dit te omarmen en je strategie  te verbeteren zodat deze zich onderscheidt van alle andere stukken content. In deze blog deel ik wat ik tijdens INBOUND heb geleerd, zodat jij je content-game kunt verbeteren. ## Waarom is content geen koning meer? Tot een paar jaar geleden waren het alleen zoekmachines en sociale media die mensen naar je website dreven. Maar tegenwoordig voeren mensen ook zoekopdrachten uit via GPT's. Je kunt ook gerust zeggen dat de exponentiële groei van content veel te maken heeft met de opkomst van AI. Want het is veel gemakkelijker om een stuk content te creëren met behulp van AI en het gaat veel sneller dan wanneer je het allemaal zelf doet. Dit betekent dat het maken van een content item in de hoop dat het goed scoort in Google of Bing, niet de beste manier is. Zoekmachines en GPT's beantwoorden zoekopdrachten van gebruikers door een stuk content van je website te schrapen en het direct in de zoekmachine weer te geven (waardoor het aantal klikken afneemt), maar ze combineren ook informatie uit verschillende bronnen, waardoor soms de link naar je website niet eens wordt getoond. ### Focus op engagement in plaats van alleen op het maken van content Oké, nu weten we wat het probleem is, maar hoe veranderen we dan onze strategie om online zichtbaarheid weer te verbeteren? Neil Patel legde in zijn keynote uit dat er een nieuwe aanpak is om content te creëren die nog steeds bezoekers naar je website leidt. Hier is een samenvatting van de strategie die hij deelde tijdens INBOUND24: 1. Test nieuwe content met je community door X te gebruiken. Waarom? Omdat X je zichtbaarheid niet verlaagt als een post niet goed presteert, terwijl op andere sociale media je zichtbaarheid waarschijnlijk wel afneemt. Je hoeft ook geen enorme following te hebben op X om deze strategie te implementeren. Je kunt de post ook een boost geven via betaalde advertenties, wat niet duur is op X. 2. Vergroot je bereik met korte video's: maak van je goed presterende X-posts TikTok video's, Instagram reels, YouTube shorts, enz. Je hoeft niet eens mooie video's te maken. Ook al beweren mensen dat ze willen dat de video's volledig verzorgd opgemaakt zijn, de low key video's die een meer natuurlijk gevoel hebben, presteren het best. 3. Maak long form content op basis van inzichten. 4. Maak van winnende blogposts leadmagnets en webinars. ## Gebruik geen AI-gegenereerde content Content die met AI is gemaakt, kan je websitebezoekers voor een korte periode laten pieken, maar op de lange termijn presteren ze niet. Ook zijn de conversieratio's van met AI gemaakte content veel lager. Gebruik AI in plaats daarvan voor ideeën en brainstormsessies, maar schrijf stukken content zelf. De inzichten die een expert over een onderwerp geeft, zijn zoveel waardevoller voor een lezer dan wat AI kan creëren. Dit betekent dat je niet met AI moet creëren, maar met AI moet co-creëren. Dit betekent ook dat je verschillende soorten content moet schrijven. Geen "how to's" of "gebruikershandleidingen" meer, maar echte meningen en informatie van experts. Kyle Jepson beschreef dit door te zeggen "Met de opkomst van AI-gegenereerde content is het gemakkelijk om content in massa te produceren. Maar om overtuigend te zijn, moet je goede, creatieve input hebben. Makers die deze eigenschappen missen, zullen nooit slagen omdat het online publiek hunkert naar unieke en op maat gemaakte content die diep resoneert." *Opmerking: Als je wel tijd wilt besparen met AI bij het maken van content. Gebruik het om een outline te maken, voordat je het zelf schrijft of gebruik AI voor prestatieanalyses.* ## Implementeer de nieuwe manier van content maken Samenvattend: AI zal mensen niet vervangen als het gaat om content van hoge kwaliteit, maar AI heeft wel de manier waarop content wordt gebruikt veranderd. Het heeft ook de oorspronkelijke inboundfilosofie achterhaald gemaakt. Pas je strategie aan en gebruik AI voor co-creatie. Creëer content die persoonlijkheid en inzicht heeft in onderwerpen die je publiek echt aanspreken, met andere woorden: content die alleen door een mens geproduceerd kan worden.
