Om het resultaat duidelijk in kaart te brengen, maak je gebruik van KPI’s, metrics en micro-doelen. Het monitoren en analyseren van deze statistieken geeft inzicht in wat de conversie-optimalisaties op je website opleveren. In dit blogartikel leggen we uit wat KPI’s, metrics en micro-doelen zijn en geven we voorbeelden waarmee je direct het resultaat van je conversie-optimalisatie kunt gaan meten.** ## Wat zijn KPI’s en metrics? KPI staat voor Key Performance Indicator. Hiermee worden prestatie indicatoren bedoeld. Het zijn subdoelen die je als bedrijf op kunt stellen op verschillende niveaus, zodat je in de gaten kunt houden of je als bedrijf de goede richting op gaat. Voorbeelden van [KPI’s](https://www.bureauvet.nl/online-strategie-doelstellingen) op businessniveau zijn: - Omzet - Winst - Kosten - NPS KPI’s kun je aanvullen met metrics. Het samenspel tussen de verschillende metrics geeft je inzicht in het succes van de website. Een metric voor een webshop kan bijvoorbeeld de hoeveelheid bezoekers die de website bezoeken zijn. Een aanvullende metric hierbij is het aantal pagina’s dat een bezoeker bekijkt per bezoek. De metric geeft extra informatie over de bezoekers, zodat je een beeld krijgt van de mate van interesse van de bezoekers. Zo kun je uiteindelijk bepalen of je de juiste bezoekers aantrekt. Bezoekers die namelijk direct weer weggaan op de website, zijn niet geïnteresseerd in de informatie. Andere interessante metrics kunnen zijn: - Aantal bezoekers - Conversieratio - Gemiddelde orderwaarde - Aantal orders ## Micro-conversies Het primaire doel van een webshop is doorgaans zoveel mogelijk orders genereren. Je zou kunnen stellen dat, wanneer een aanpassing niet bijdraagt aan het behalen van je primaire doel, je optimalisatie niet werkt. Maar niet elke optimalisatie op je website draagt direct bij aan dit primaire conversiedoel. Daarom is het slim om zogenaamde micro-conversies op te stellen die het primaire conversiedoel ondersteunen. Hiermee meet je resultaten en kun je alsnog zien of bepaalde aanpassingen effect hebben gehad. Micro-conversies die je in kunt stellen bij een webshop of website zijn: - Het in de winkelwagen plaatsen van een product - Een nieuwsbrief inschrijving - Een weergave van een productdetailpagina - Een bestand downloaden ## Het belang van micro-conversies Niet iedere bezoeker is klaar om een product of dienst aan te schaffen. Het kan zijn dat een bezoeker meer informatie wil, maar nog niet direct wil kopen. Het downloaden van de brochure is dan bijvoorbeeld de eerste stap. Met het opstellen van doelen voor micro-conversies meet je of je optimalisaties effect hebben gehad op kleinere doelen die niet direct het primaire conversiedoel zijn. De voltooide micro-doelen zullen uiteindelijk een bijdrage leveren aan het primaire conversiedoel. ## Zelf aan de slag met KPI’s en metrics?
