Een kennis die je al lange tijd niet meer hebt gezien en waarvan je alleen de leeftijd, het geslacht en het beroep nog weet. Je zult merken dat je al snel op een algemeen cadeau uitkomt omdat je simpelweg niet meer interesses of voorkeuren weet. Wel jammer, want het is veel leuker om een cadeau te geven waar je hem of haar echt blij mee maakt. Maar is dat wel mogelijk met de beperkte informatie waarover je beschikt? Als marketeer kun je in een vergelijkbare situatie zitten. Je wilt je product aan je doelgroep verkopen, maar eigenlijk heb je niet voldoende inzicht in wie je doelgroep precies is. Met alleen oppervlakkige informatie is het maken van een doelgerichte marketing campagne een lastige opgave. Al snel produceer je marketing materiaal dat op een onnodig breed publiek is gericht. En dat wil maar niet aanslaan. Tijd om meer te weten te komen over je potentiële kopers, ofwel buyer personas, en eens dieper te gaan graven. ## Wat is een buyer persona? Een [buyer persona](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/wat-is-een-buyer-persona) beschrijft gedetailleerd jouw ideale klant. HubSpot beschrijft een buyer persona als volgt: ***“a semi-fictional representation of your ideal customer based on market research and real data about your existing customers.”*** In dit artikel deel ik een vragenlijst* die helpt om te achterhalen wie jouw ideale klant is. Uiteraard hoef je niet antwoord op alle vragen te geven, maar laat ze je wel aan het denken zetten. Het zal je helpen om stapje voor stapje dichter bij de schets van je ideale klant te komen en een beter beeld te krijgen van je doelgroep. **Opmerking: de vragen zijn op een mannelijke buyer persona gericht. Uiteraard kun je dezelfde vragen gebruiken voor het maken van een vrouwelijke buyer persona door enkel het voornaamwoord aan te passen. * ## Vragenlijst Hieronder vind je handige vragen voor het creëren van jouw buyer persona. ### Achtergrond en geschiedenis  1. Wat is zijn naam? 2. Wat is zijn leeftijd? 3. Waar is hij geboren? 4. Waar is hij opgegroeid? (platteland/stad, soort huis) 5. Wat deed zijn moeder voor de kost? 6. Wat deed zijn vader voor de kost? 7. Heeft hij broers of zussen? 8. Wat waren zijn favoriete activiteiten als kind? 9. Waar bestaan zijn jeugdherinneringen uit? ### Opleidingen 1. Welke opleidingen - en op welk niveau - heeft hij afgerond? 2. Wat was zijn favoriete vak? 3. Welke kwaliteiten had hij op school? 4. Vond hij het leuk om nieuwe dingen te leren? 5. Had hij veel vrienden, een paar goede vrienden of geen vrienden? ### Werkervaring 1. Wat was zijn eerste baan? 2. Wat is zijn huidige baan? 3. Hoe is hij aan zijn huidige functie gekomen? 4. Hoe lang heeft hij gemiddeld bij een bedrijf gewerkt? 5. Wat is zijn huidige salaris? 6. Kan hij goed overweg met zijn baas? 7. Heeft hij een goede band met zijn collega's? 8. Heeft hij plezier in zijn werk? 9. Met welke uitdagingen heeft hij in zijn huidige functie te maken? 10. Wat is zijn droombaan? 11. Wanneer is hij van plan om met pensioen te gaan? ### Huidige situatie 1. Waar woont hij momenteel? 2. In wat voor een soort huis woont hij? 3. Is hij getrouwd, samenwonend of single? 4. Is hij tevreden met zijn huidige leven? 5. Woont hij dicht bij zijn familie? 6. Heeft hij huisdieren? 7. Heeft hij veel vrienden, een paar vrienden of geen vrienden? ### Financiën 1. Wat verdient hij? 2. Heeft hij schulden? (Zo ja, wat voor een soort schulden?) 3. Geeft hij makkelijk geld uit? 4. Welke factoren zijn voor hem belangrijk bij een aankoop? 5. Is hij een financiële beslisser in zijn huidige baan? ### Persoonlijke leven 1. Is hij gelovig? 2. Achter welke politieke partij staat hij? 3. Vindt hij het belangrijk om fit en gezond te leven? 4. Hecht hij veel waarde aan zijn uiterlijk? 5. Welke hobby's heeft hij? 6. Wat is zijn favoriete televisie programma? 7. Wat is zijn favoriete film? 8. Naar welke muziek luistert hij? 9. Hoe brengt hij zijn weekenden door? 10. Waar winkelt hij? 11. Houdt hij van lezen? 12. Drinkt hij alcohol? 13. Rookt hij? 14. Is hij technisch? 15. Is hij actief op social media? (Zo ja, op welke platforms?) ### Persoonlijkheid, karakter 1. Is hij een introvert of extravert persoon? 2. Is hij optimistisch of pessimistisch? 3. Is hij stil of luidruchtig? 4. Verlegt hij graag zijn grenzen? 5. Neemt hij risico's of speelt hij liever 'safe'? 6. Is hij soepel of stijf in zijn denkpatronen? 7. Is hij spontaan of heeft hij liever vooraf vastgestelde plannen? 8. Wordt hij (emotioneel) geraakt door oordelen van andere mensen? 9. Wat heeft hij nodig voor een succesvol leven? ### Zakelijke inzichten  1. Met welke zakelijke uitdagingen heeft hij te maken? 2. Hoe kun je hem helpen bij het oplossen van zijn zakelijke uitdagingen? 3. Op welke manier communiceert hij het liefst? 4. Moet hij verantwoording afleggen aan een baas of manager? 5. Welke factoren kunnen bepalen dat hij het product van een concurrent boven die van jou kiest? Door aandacht te besteden aan de bovenstaande vragen, krijg je meer inzicht in het profiel van je ideale klant. De antwoorden helpen om buyer personas te creëren en daarop een effectieve marketing aanpak af te stemmen.
