Maar is AI-gegenereerde content wel net zo waardevol als zelf geschreven content? Verliezen wij hiermee niet de menselijke maat en creativiteit? In deze blog beargumenteer ik waarom marketeers wat meer terughoudend mogen zijn over het gebruik van AI tools voor het schrijven van marketing content. ## Copy, paste: AI-gegenereerde content kopieert bestaande content AI tools zoals ChatGPT baseren hun werking op een groot taalmodel, ofwel LLM (Large Language Model). Een LLM kan de menselijke taal begrijpen en analyseert miljoenen teksten op het internet aan de hand van geavanceerde algoritmes. Vervolgens gebruikt de AI deze informatie om een antwoord te verlenen op een vraag of opdracht van de gebruiker. AI-technologieën converteren dus bestaande content om te voldoen aan het verzoek van de gebruiker. Dit betekent dat de teksten die jij opvraagt bij een AI tool zoals ChatGPT overeenkomen met bestaande content op het internet. Niet zo best dus als je zinvolle content wilt produceren die is geoptimaliseerd voor de (Google) zoekmachine. ## Keeping it fresh: AI content is niet vernieuwend AI-content is ook niet vernieuwend. Het is een herhaling van bestaande kennis en bevat op inhoudelijk vlak geen nieuwe informatie. Er is tegenwoordig over elk thema wel wat geschreven. Dit maakt het een stuk lastiger om er online uit te springen met jouw content. Maar laten we niet vergeten dat creativiteit en ‘out of the box’ denken nog altijd een belangrijke kwaliteit is van de moderne content marketeer: je kunt hier jouw ‘eigen sausje aan toevoegen’ en inzicht bieden op een bepaald thema. ## What makes us tick: AI content is zielloos AI-gegenereerde content ontbreekt aan twee elementen: 1) een tone of voice en branding, 2) inzicht dat alleen jouw business kan geven. Neem de tijd om nieuwe ideeën te bedenken voor jouw content marketing strategie, en maak van daaruit een content marketingplan. Dit proces heet ook wel ‘ideation’, oftewel het opdoen van nieuwe ideeën voor jouw marketing content. Dit is verreweg het belangrijkste onderdeel van jouw content marketing strategie en is niet simpel uit te voeren door een AI tool. Doe jezelf en jouw business niet tekort met enkel AI-gegenereerde ideeën! ## Waar kan je AI dan wel voor gebruiken? AI tools kunnen wel op andere manieren waarde bieden voor jouw contentmarketingstrategie. Combineer de inzichten van diverse AI tools met jouw eigen inzichten als expert binnen jouw vakgebied. Bedenk eerst hoe je jouw content wilt aanvliegen en welke doelgroep je ermee wilt bereiken. Ga van daaruit verder met een plan van aanpak. Goede marketing content is vooral vanuit eigen hand geschreven en is geoptimaliseerd voor de zoekmachine met behulp van AI. Je kunt de AI-technologie vragen om jouw content te vertalen, optimalisatie suggesties te doen of een analyse uit te voeren voor SEO doeleinden.
