Raar eigenlijk, omdat beide afdelingen uiteindelijk hetzelfde doel voor ogen (zouden moeten) hebben: het werven van nieuwe klanten en het opbouwen van waardevolle klantrelaties.** ## Waarom wordt er dan toch vaak niet goed samengewerkt? Er zijn hiervoor een aantal redenen te bedenken. Terwijl marketeers over het algemeen gericht zijn op de lange termijn, moeten verkopers hun target halen en zijn daardoor juist meer gericht op de korte termijn. Dit verschil kan leiden tot onderlinge strijd en wantrouwen tussen marketeers en verkopers. Ook vindt tussen de afdelingen vaak niet of nauwelijks communicatie plaats, waardoor er langs elkaar heen wordt gewerkt. ## Samenwerking is essentieel in het online tijdperk Hoe dan ook, een goede samenwerking tussen marketing en verkoop is essentieel voor uw commerciële slagkracht. Vooral nu de scheidingslijn tussen beide afdelingen, dankzij sociale media en online activiteiten, steeds vager wordt. Gemiddeld is een potentiële klant al voor 65% geïnformeerd over de mogelijkheden, waarmee hij of zij een wens of probleem kan oplossen. Vroeger was het de taak van de verkoper om een lead te kwalificeren en één of meerdere individuen te informeren en te begeleiden bij de aankoop. Marketing had onder andere als taak doelgroepen te beïnvloeden. Marketing heeft steeds meer mogelijkheden gekregen om te kwalificeren en met content zowel doelgroepen als individuen te beïnvloeden. Marketing heeft ook als taak kwalitatieve leads binnen te halen en deze te kwalificeren en voorziet dus ook in toenemende mate voor informatievoorziening en [lead nurturing](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/kenniscentrum/lead-nurturing). Zowel marketeers als verkopers zijn hierdoor in belangrijke mate verantwoordelijk voor het opbouwen van klantrelaties en moeten samenwerken om de (potentiële) klant optimaal te kunnen bedienen. ## 6 tips om samen een nieuwe wereld te creëren Het belang van een goede samenwerking valt niet te ontkennen. Maar hoe brengt u beide werelden nader tot elkaar, zodat het uiteindelijk één wereld wordt, waarin één taal wordt gesproken en één belang wordt gediend? Een aantal belangrijke tips: 1. Verklein de afstand tussen marketing en verkoop. Zet de teams bijvoorbeeld in één ruimte, zodat ze precies van elkaar weten wat er speelt in het veld. 2. Creëer een vaste overlegstructuur en momenten waarbij marketeers en verkopers informatie, kennis en ideeën kunnen uitwisselen. 3. Stel gezamenlijke verkoop- en marketingdoelen op. 4. Maak afspraken over wat je van elkaar kunt verwachten. 5. Meet en deel verkoop- en marketingresultaten met elkaar via overzichtelijke dashboards. 6. Deel verkoop-, markt- en marketinginformatie met elkaar, zodat iedereen weet wat er leeft bij uw klanten. Hoewel deze punten belangrijk zijn om de samenwerking tussen marketing en verkoop te verbeteren, is het slechts een kleine greep uit de totale set van tools en middelen die nodig is om beide werelden te verenigen.
