Dat is niet gek als je kijkt naar de cijfers met betrekking tot het digitale kijkgedrag. Het bedrijf Ooyala, gespecialiseerd in videotechnologie, onderzocht het digitale kijkgedrag naar video’s van meer dan 160 miljoen mensen in verschillende landen. Hun conclusie: wereldwijd wordt er meer dan ooit naar video gekeken. Bedrijven zijn op zoek naar unieke, innovatieve manieren om hun content strategie vorm te geven. Hoewel blogs, whitepapers en eBooks een belangrijke bron van kennis en informatie zijn, ontbreekt het deze documenten vaak aan menselijke expressie en emotie. Dit kan video wel bieden en daarom kan het een goede toevoeging aan je marketingstrategie zijn. Maar hoe zet je video succesvol in? In dit blog geef ik tips.** ## Voordelen van video Video marketing zorgt voor een grote toename van het aantal kliks, blijkt uit onderzoek van [Demand Gen Report](http://www.demandgenreport.com). Bovendien houdt een video de aandacht van de kijker voor langere tijd vast. Een video is iets wat de kijker bijblijft, omdat het meer zintuigen prikkelt dan alleen een tekst (‘*Een beeld zegt meer dan 1000 woorden’)*. Het inzetten van video is niet alleen een geschikte marketing tool. Volgens Demands Gen bekijkt 50% van de klanten een video ter onderzoek van een B2B aankoop en dus kan video ook tot betere sales resultaten leiden. ## Video zonder studio 47% van de B2B participanten in het onderzoek ziet een tekort aan video budget als een obstakel tot marketing succes. Dit blijkt uit onderzoek van [Demand Metric](http://www.vidyard.com/blog/b2b-video-marketing-benchmark-report/). Echter, zoals de resultaten ook laten zien: voor het creëren van een goede, pakkende video heb je tegenwoordig geen professionele studio en cameraploeg meer nodig! Er zijn genoeg andere unieke manieren om video op te nemen in je marketingstrategie. Om de aandacht van de kijker vast te houden zal een video echter aantrekkelijker moeten zijn dan enkel alleen een statische visual van iemand die spreekt in een webcam.  ### Online presentatie De online presentatie is een effectief medium voor een succesvolle persoonlijke video, waarmee je tevens budget kan sparen. Een video van een gesproken online presentatie met tekst en uitleg trekt tegenwoordig veel kijkers.  ### Interview Een ander soort video die veel kijkers trekt en een relatief laag budget vereist, is de video die een interview of een informatieve presentatie bevat. Hierbij wisselt het spreken voor een camera af met beelden van hetgeen waarover gesproken wordt. Dit zet de gesproken woorden kracht bij. ## Enkele andere tips Enkele andere tips voor het succesvol inzetten van video marketing: ### 1. Ken je doelgroep en ken hun behoeften Ken de behoeften van je doelgroep en speel hierop in met verlichtende en entertainende videocontent. Op deze manier weet je de aandacht van de kijker vast te houden. ### 2. Videolengte: langer dan 30 seconden mag! Videocontent van langer dan 30 seconden neemt toe in populariteit. Een informatieve video mag dus gerust langer zijn dan 30 seconden. Hou bij het bepalen van de lengte rekening met het soort video dat je inzet. Een video over een wat ingewikkelder onderwerp mag best langer duren dan 1 minuut, maar zorg dat je de aandacht van de kijker vast blijft houden. ### 3. Video op meerdere plekken op de website Een korte video ingebed op bijvoorbeeld een bedankpagina als een tussenstap naar een volgend blog. Of een video op een landingspagina als extra overtuiging om een ebook of whitepaper te downloaden kan leiden tot meer conversie. ### 4. E-mail: voeg links van je video toe aan je e-mail content Uit onderzoek blijkt dat een link naar een video in een e-mail de kliks met 96% laat toenemen. Daarnaast zijn e-mails makkelijk door te sturen, wat kan leiden tot nieuwe kijkers van je video en wellicht meer bezoekers van je website.
