Om dit te bereiken ga je in veel gevallen direct aan de slag met de telefoon: hoe meer mensen je benadert hoe beter, is daarbij vaak de gedachte. Maar is het niet beter en een stuk makkelijker om mensen te benaderen die daadwerkelijk interesse in je bedrijf tonen? Waarvan je weet dat jij de oplossing voor hun probleem hebt? Met behulp van moderne marketing laat je mensen naar je toekomen door hen van de juiste informatie te voorzien, zonder ze te pushen. In dit blogartikel ga ik dieper op het stukje social in. Je leest hoe je als verkoper meer uit social media en LinkedIn in het bijzonder kunt halen.** ## Voorbereidingen De meeste sales professionals beschikken wel over een LinkedIn profiel. Het is namelijk interessant om te connecten met zowel potentiële als bestaande klanten. Heb je een profiel? Zorg er dan voor dat het er representatief uitziet: een scherpe, professionele foto met daaronder de juiste informatie. Onduidelijke of ongepaste foto’s (lees: foto met biertje in je hand) en oude informatie vallen onder de afknappers. Als je je profiel op orde hebt, kun je aan de slag. ## Stap 1: Word lid van de juiste LinkedIn groepen Naast het volgen van de [LinkedIn Company Page](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/inbound-2021-linkedin-organisch-vs-linkedin-ads) van je organisatie en die van (potentiële) klanten is het ook interessant om diverse LinkedIn groepen te volgen en hier actief in deel te nemen. Je volgt misschien al  groepen die gerelateerd zijn aan jouw branche, daar waar je conculega’s ook te vinden zijn. Zo blijf je op de hoogte van de ontwikkelingen in de markt en dat is zeker goed. Maar als je echt je voordeel wilt doen met LinkedIn dan ga je in de [groepen](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/5-interessante-linkedin-groepen-voor-marketeers) zitten waar jouw potentiële klant zich ook bevindt. Voorbeeld: als sales manager MKB van een verzekeringsbedrijf dien je dus (voor de verkoop!) niet in de LinkedIn groep *Verzekeringsnieuws* te zitten, maar juist in *MKB-Nederland* want het MKB is jouw doelgroep. ## Stap 2: Word actief in LinkedIn groepen Als je eenmaal lid bent van diverse interessante LinkedIn groepen (met [potentiële klanten](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/ondersteun-de-buyer-journey-van-jouw-klanten-met-passende-content)), kun je echt aan de slag. Het doel is om interactie tot stand te brengen zodat je met interessante mensen uit je doelgroep in gesprek komt. Deze interactie kan ontstaan wanneer je een vraag stelt in een groep. Bedenk een originele en kritische vraag zodat er een echte discussie op gang komt. Probeer daarbij te verwijzen naar een aan het onderwerp gerelateerd blogartikel, zodat je ook meer verkeer naar je website genereert. Het uiteindelijke doel is om in gesprek te komen met potentiële klanten en/of dat potentiële klanten op je website terecht komen en daar hun gegevens invullen in ruil voor bijvoorbeeld een [whitepaper](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/whitepaper-schrijven-gebruik-de-80-whitepaper-regel). Op deze manier komt je bedrijf aan namen en contactgegevens van mensen die voldoen aan je ideale klantprofiel. Vervolgens is het zaak om deze personen op te volgen met aanvullende, [waardevolle content](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/van-contentcreatie-naar-contentstrategie). Op deze manier ‘warm’ je een mogelijke klant rustig op voor een serieus sales gesprek. Dit gesprek zal dan heel anders lopen dan je waarschijnlijk gewend bent, omdat je potentiële klant al veel kennis heeft op gedaan en dus beter geïnformeerd is.
