Veel marketing- en salesactiviteiten waar je normaal offline op vertrouwt voor het genereren van leads, zijn inmiddels prima te vervangen voor online bijeenkomsten. Maar hoe organiseer je een goede online bijeenkomst? In dit blog geef ik 5 praktische tips voor het invullen en opzetten van een goede webinar of virtueel event. ## Tip 1: kies een interessant format Er zijn talloze manieren om invulling te geven aan een webinar of virtueel event. Je kunt een eenmalige sessie organiseren of een meerdaags event met meerdere sessies waarin je afwisselt tussen verschillende formats. Hieronder wat inspiratie voor interessante formats: - Demo - Workshop / training - Presentatie / keynote - Q&A sessie - Paneldiscussie - Interview ## Tip 2: focus op kennisdeling Focus op het [delen van kennis](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/kennisleiderschap-opbouwen-zo-begin-je) en niet op promotie van je product. Houd hier dus ook rekening mee bij het invullen van je webinar. Kies een onderwerp dat relevant is voor jouw ideale klant. Hiervoor moet je een goed beeld hebben van [hun zakelijke uitdagingen en problemen](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/zo-zet-je-het-waardepropositie-canvas-in-bij-moderne-marketing). Zorg ervoor dat deelnemers de webinar uitgaan met een portie inspiratie en kennis. Enkele ideeën om inhoud te geven aan een leerzame webinar: - Nodig een gastspreker uit; - Deel praktische tips; - Vertel over een case; - Deel handige links, sheets en templates. ## Tip 3: maak het interactief De waarde van veel events zit hem in de interactie en het [netwerken](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/blog/hoe-kan-event-marketing-helpen-bij-b2b-leadgeneratie) met anderen. Dit is dus een belangrijk aspect dat je ook terug moet laten komen in je webinar of virtuele event! Een deel van de interactiemogelijkheden is afhankelijk van de webinar software die je gebruikt. Bij de ene tool kun je deelnemers bijvoorbeeld mee laten doen aan een poll, bij de ander kunnen deelnemers hun hand opsteken. Ongeacht de tool die je gebruikt, kun je de volgende interacties sowieso stimuleren: - Vraag deelnemers aan het begin (in de chat) even naar hun functie, bedrijf en waar ze vandaan komen. - Laat deelnemers bij inschrijving een vraag of uitdaging delen en kom hier tijdens de webinar op terug. - Geef deelnemers de mogelijkheid om tijdens de webinar vragen te stellen in de chat. - Las na elk onderdeel of na afloop van je presentatie een vragenrondje in, wissel inhoudelijke vragen af met luchtige zaken zoals: welke muziek helpt jou om je te concentreren bij het thuiswerken?. - Zorg dat deelnemers ook na het virtual event met elkaar in contact kunnen blijven, bijvoorbeeld via een LinkedIn groep of op een forum ## Tip 4: kies een goede tool Voor een webinar of virtueel event heb je uiteraard een goede tool nodig. Wat die tool moet kunnen, is afhankelijk van het type event dat je gaat hosten en het aantal beoogde deelnemers. Ik help je om de juiste keuze te maken: - **Videoconferencing tool**: als je eenmalig een kleinschalige webinar of training wil organiseren, kan je videoconferencing tool wellicht al volstaan. Bekijk wel of er voldoende mogelijkheden zijn om deelnemers te ‘managen’, bijvoorbeeld door hen op mute te zetten. - **Webinar software**: als je mikt op 50+ deelnemers en meerdere webinars gaat organiseren, raad ik aan om webinar software te gebruiken. Hierbij is de opzet dat er wel interactie is tussen jou en de deelnemers, maar niet tussen deelnemers onderling. Deelnemers kunnen meestal ook alleen luisteren en niet spreken. Voorbeelden zijn: [Zoom Webinar](https://explore.zoom.us/en/products/webinars/) en [GoToWebinar](https://www.gotomeeting.com/nl-nl/webinar). - **Virtual conferencing tool**: ga je voor een virtueel event met meerdere sessies? Kies dan voor een virtual conferencing tool. Dit soort tools hebben vaak apps waarin deelnemers hun agenda met sessies kunnen beheren, vragen kunnen stellen en kunnen communiceren met andere deelnemers. Voorbeelden zijn: [Run the World](https://www.runtheworld.today/), [Whova](https://whova.com/) en [Hopin](https://hopin.to/). Check ook altijd even of de tool voldoet aan jouw eisen. Denk aan het toevoegen van co-hosts, een integratie met je CRM, customization van de look & feel en de manier van registreren. ## Tip 5: zet de webinar on-demand in als lead generator Of je nou een live event of een virtueel event organiseert, er gaat best wel wat tijd in zitten. Het voordeel van een virtueel event is dat je dit na afloop goed en met minimale effort kunt hergebruiken in je marketing. De meeste webinar software biedt de mogelijkheid om webinars op te nemen. Deze opname kun je vervolgens als webinar on-demand aanbieden op je website. Je kunt de video ungated aanbieden en werken aan kennisleiderschap, maar er zijn ook mogelijkheden om de opname te gebruiken voor leadgeneratie. Met een [video hosting platform als Vidyard](https://www.vidyard.com/video-marketing/) kun je een aantal slimme tactieken inzetten: - Zet je webinar on-demand geheel of deels achter een formulier. Met Vidyard kun je bijvoorbeeld halverwege de video een formulier invoegen. - Voeg call-to-actions toe tijdens of na afloop van de video. Bied bijvoorbeeld een e-book of een demo aan. - Optimaliseer je video’s voor SEO zodat ze ook bijdragen aan vindbaarheid. Vergeet je webinar on-demand zeker ook niet in te zetten in lead nurturing en op social media! ## Video aan en gaan! Een webinar organiseren hoeft geen megaproject te zijn. Met een goede webcam en microfoon en een presentatie of demo die je al op de plank hebt liggen, heb je alle ingrediënten om een webinar op te zetten. Nu hoef je hem alleen nog maar te promoten!
