Een call to action (CTA) is een methode om bezoekers op je website een gewenste actie te laten ondernemen. Deze gewenste actie is in de regel een stap richting een [conversie](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/kenniscentrum/conversie). Wanneer je de term letterlijk vertaald dan heb je eigenlijk al bijna het antwoord. Je gebruikt een 'call to action' om een bezoeker letterlijk op te roepen tot actie. Via een call to action promoot je bijvoorbeeld één van je producten of een white paper. Bij het opzetten van een [conversiepad](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/kenniscentrum/conversiepad) gebruik je een call to action om je bezoekers naar de gewenste landingspagina te sturen waar de conversie plaatsvindt. ## Call to action voorbeelden Er zijn diverse soorten call to actions. Hier volgen een paar voorbeelden. ### **Call to action tekstlink** De simpelste vorm van een call to action is een tekstlink. Hoewel een tekstlink het minst opvalt, is het toch een goed idee om deze vorm van een CTA op te nemen op je website. Deze call to actions komen namelijk het meest natuurlijk over en kun je overal in je teksten toepassen. Ook in email marketing is het slim om naast een button ook een CTA toe te voegen in de vorm van een tekstlink. In dit geval kom je al snel uit bij een CTA banner. **Voorbeeld van een CTA banner:** *(Let op: onderstaande CTA dient puur als voorbeeld.)* [![Download ons Bright magazine | Bright](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/248909/77c31c82-a6e7-40a8-8b7a-1f263e30a89a.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/248909/77c31c82-a6e7-40a8-8b7a-1f263e30a89a)   ## Call to action tips Hier volgen tien gouden tips voor een goede call to action: - **Tip 1: wees concreet.** Gebruik dus in een CTA button niet '*verzenden*', of 'klik hier', maar bijvoorbeeld: '*Download white paper*'. - **Tip 2: maak het niet te lang.** Een CTA met de tekst 'Download de white paper over Content Marketing in de B2B wereld' is te lang. - **Tip 3: zorg dat je opvalt.** Met uitzondering van een tekstlink moet een call to action opvallen. Zorg dus dat deze een unieke en contrasterende kleur heeft ten opzichte van alle andere elementen op je website. - **Tip 4: houd rekening met mobiel.** Smartphones hebben een relatief klein scherm. Test daarom de afmetingen op een smartphone. De CTA moet goed leesbaar én klikbaar zijn. - **Tip 5: Plaats boven de vouw.** In emails is dit essentieel, maar ook op webpagina's is het belangrijk. Zorg dat de belangrijkste CTA zichtbaar is boven de vouw (dus zonder dat er gescrold hoeft te worden). - **Tip 6: geef een gevoel van urgentie**. Het zit in onze natuur om niks te willen missen, dus gebruik woorden als 'nu', 'direct', of 'voor datum'. Bijvoorbeeld: '*Bestel voor 1 januari *'. - **Tip 7: gebruik gebiedende wijs**. deze taalvorm is kort maar krachtig en uitstekend om iemand aan te zetten tot actie (precies waar een CTA voor bedoeld is). Bijvoorbeeld: 'bestel het e-book', of 'download de white paper'. - **Tip 8: maak een belofte.** Je vraagt iets van je bezoeker. Geef hier iets in ruil voor terug. Bijvoorbeeld: '*Bestel voor 1 januari en ontvang 10% korting'*. - **Tip 9: wek vertrouwen op.** Je vraagt in de regel persoonlijke gegevens (bij contact opnemen of download van [gated content](https://www.brightdigital.com/nl/kenniscentrum/gated-content)), of geld (bij aankoop in webshop) van je bezoeker. Laat daarom zien dat dit in goede handen valt. Laat je bezoeker bijvoorbeeld weten hoe je met persoonsgegevens omgaat, of dat je aangesloten bent bij een keurmerk of brancheorganisatie. - **Tip 10: testen, testen en nog eens testen.** wat het beste werkt voor jouw website en doelgroep staat helaas nergens beschreven. Meet en evalueer je call to action's daarom met regelmaat. Ga hiervoor in het hoofdmenu naar 'Marketing', 'Lead capture' en vervolgens naar CTA's. Via 'Create a CTA', maak je gemakkelijk een nieuwe call to action.
