What is a smart call to action (smart CTA)?
A call to action is a way for a website visitor to take a desirable action. In addition to creating and measuring a normal CTA, HubSpot also offers the option of a smart call to action. You'll find this functionality in the Marketing Hub and HubSpot CMS.
Smart call to actions allow you to show visitors specific versions of a call to action based on their attributes. For example, you can choose to make a call to action visible only to contacts who are on a particular list or who are in a particular lifecycle stage, for example.
You can also choose to show smart calls to actions based on the country the visitor is in (useful if you have CTAs in multiple languages). Or based on the device the visitor is using. For example, you can show a different CTA for people who visit your website using a smartphone. Useful, because that way the CTA is optimized for the smaller screen.

Why a smart CTA?
A smart call to action allows you to show a CTA that is even more relevant to the visitor in question, this has a positive impact on the effectiveness of the call to action. The CTR of good smart CTA is thus higher than normal call to actions and this in turn has a positive influence on your conversion. In other words, you will bring in more leads!
