Bright Digital and Vet Digital have joined forces and, with the backing of private equity firm DELTA Equity Partners, are planning to build a European HubSpot Powerhouse.

Accelerated growth

All the stakeholders see potential for rapid growth through acquisitions so as to further add to their expertise mix for the benefit of customers, attract new talent as an employer and act as a reliable partner to HubSpot in a market that is continuing to consolidate.

Bright Digital

Bright Digital was founded in 2016 by Lambert van Asselt and Johan Lammers. The agency that hails from Apeldoorn has since grown to become a major full-service HubSpot player with 50 professionals and a second office in Amsterdam. Bright delivers services in the area of HubSpot consultancy, website and CRM development plus digital marketing. Bright has already made a number of previous acquisitions: Cliptoo Marketing (2019) and the rapidly expanding Seefore from Harderwijk (2021), the latter having formerly been owned by Henry van Olst, now Sales Director and a partner at Bright.

Vet Digital

Vet Digital was founded in 2012 by Erik Verpoort as a website and marketing agency. Partner Ron Schaminee joined the firm later as CFO and the company opted to pursue a strategic focus on HubSpot. Vet Digital now has 30 employees based in Nijmegen and has opened its first office in Denmark. The agency delivers services in the area of HubSpot consultancy, website and CRM development plus digital marketing. Earlier acquisitions by Vet Digital include Heuvel Marketing and Marketing Penguin.

Synergy with HubSpot

Both Bright Digital and Vet Digital are focused entirely on HubSpot, the ultimate all-in-one CRM platform for Sales, Marketing and Service. HubSpot is a very user-friendly, scalable and reliable ‘single source of truth’ CRM platform.

The American company is seeing huge growth and increasingly taking market share from other big names in the world of CRM. Due to its strategy of pursuing market share among ever-larger customers, HubSpot is seeking major partners in every part of the world who have the right level of capacity and expertise. HubSpot aims to work with these partners in order to deliver an outstanding service to its user.

Erik Verpoort of Vet Digital: “We believe there is plenty of potential for synergies in our service provision. This strategic step will put us in a position to serve both the mid-market and the corporate market.”

Buy & Build strategy

Johan Lammers, CEO of Bright Digital, continues: “This step is relevant for our customers, as it means we will be even better placed to meet their needs and wishes. We now have a bigger team and even more know-how and experience to call on. It also means we are creating an attractive environment for potential new team members.”

“We became aware of DELTA Equity Partners through a common acquaintance in our network, and they came along at just the right moment” explains founder Lambert van Asselt.

Both companies, Bright Digital and Vet Digital, had been quietly scoping out new acquisitions independently of one another. DELTA Equity Partners specialises in buy & build, with an active focus on the Technology & Health sectors. The private equity firm has a huge amount of experience in building successful businesses in the IT sector by applying the ‘buy & build’ strategy.

Van Asselt again: “It’s given us a real boost being able to count on the financial expertise and experience of DELTA. Joining forces will enable us to realise our ambitions and grow the business quickly.”
